bKash is partnering with the leading Bangla daily Prothom Alo to pay tribute to unsung heroes who have made significant positive changes to society through their own initiative. Till now Prothom Alo published stories of these unsung heroes in their \Friday Special Report\ and \Saturday Special Report\.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between bKash and Prothom Alo was signed recently at the Prothom Alo head office to launch “BIKOSHITO BANGLADESH: BODOLER NAYOKERA” from early next year. bKash CEO Kamal Quadir and Prothom Alo Editor & Publisher Matiur Rahman signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations.
Under this accord, bKash and Prothom Alo will jointly organize “BIKOSHITO BANGLADESH: BODOLER NAYOKERA”, an initiative to find and recognize everyday heroes who have worked selflessly to bring positive changes to society. Their inspirational stories will be presented every week in Prothom Alo. A gala program to honor the heroes will also be arranged in March, said the organizers.
On the occasion, Kamal Quadir said that bKash stands for inclusivity and the empowerment of people. Prothom Alo and bKash have come together in the common belief that good comes from within, no matter where, and this endeavor is a manifestation of that belief.
Also present at the ceremony were Sajjad Sharif, Managing Editor; Abdul Kaiyum and Anisul Huq Associate Editor; Arup Kumar Ghosh Head of Brand & Activation from Prothom Alo, and Sania Mahmood, Head of Marketing; Naushad Mustafa Kamal, Manager, Media; Tanvir Quader, Manager, Legal from bKash.
