bKash Limited and Katalyst have recently signed an agreement in order to facilitate various agricultural value chain actors to send and receive money from their mobile phones. Kamal Quadir, CEO, bKash, and Goetz Ebbecke, General Manager, Katalyst signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
As per the agreement, bKash will offer their services to contract farmers in the char areas, which will help the farmers to receive timely and secure payments from their respective contractors. Moreover, this easy and quick transfer will significantly reduce the number of visits to contractors and lead time between payments.
