Rural Energy and Development Initiative to collect payment through bKash

bKash Limited and Rural Energy and Development Initiative (REDI) recently signed an agreement to collect cash from the latter’s remote sales points. Rezaul Hossain, Head of Sales & Distribution, bKash and Sabbir Ahmed Murtaza, Executive Director signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.

As per the agreement, bKash will offer their services to REDI in remote areas in rural areas where formal banking is not available. This service will help REDI to collect timely and secure funds from their remote branches. Moreover, this easy and quick transfer will significantly improve the efficiency and reduce the lead time for such collections.

REDI is a non-profit, non-political and a non-government organization, which assists vulnerable people with the various challenges of climate change. REDI seeks to introduce renewable energy for the benefit of education, health and wellbeing of the poor people.
