What is a Personal Retail Account or PRA?

Personal Retail Account or PRA is a new of type of business account by which micro and small businesses operating in retail and f-commerce segment can collect bKash payment easily from bKash customers against goods and services. 

Requirement for opening a Personal Retail Account or PRA

To open a Personal Retail Account, you need to have the following documents: 

  1. Your National Identity Card

  2. A Valid Mobile No. (Registered against your National ID Card) for which no bKash account has been opened before) 

  3. A proof of ownership of your Mobile SIM Card

  4. NID card of nominee(required if applicable)

How to open a Personal Retail Account or PRA?

You can collect payment from bKash customers easily. A bKash customer can make payment by scanning your Personal Retail Account QR, via bKash Payment Gateway or by manually typing your Personal Retail Account No. via USSD channel. Limit applicable

  • Send Money to bKash Customers

A Personal Retail Account holder can send money to a bKash customer using the Send Money feature. Charges & Limit applicable

  • Agent & ATM Cash Out

A Personal Retail Account Holder can do cash out from any bKash agent and following ATM booths; BRAC Bank & Q-Cash. Charges & Limit applicable

  • Merchant Payment to PRA & other merchants 

A Personal Retail Account holder can make bKash transfer to another PRA. Besides, a PRA can also make bKash transfer to other bKash merchant accounts (Merchant Plus, Merchant Plus Lite A & B, Medium, Small and Micro). Charges & Limit applicable.

  • Receive Payment from another PRA and bKash Merchant Accounts

A Personal Retail Account holder can receive money from another Personal Retail Account as well as following bKash merchant accounts (Merchant Plus, Merchant Plus Lite A & B, Medium, Small and Micro). Limit Applicable

  • A potential Personal Retail Account holder needs to dial *16001# and share his/her last 4 digits of NID to get SMS notification mentioning all the mobile numbers registered under that particular NID. A screenshot/photo needs to be taken for submitting this document in the onboarding portal
  • No need to visit bKash Customer Care to open a Personal Retail Account
  • NID used to open personal bKash account can also be used to open the Personal Retail Account. However, to open the Personal Retail Account, register with a number that has not been used to open any bKash account previously
  • NID already used to open a bKash Agent/Merchant/Channel Account; in other words, any Business account cannot be used to open a Personal Retail Account
  • It is not possible to transfer your personal bKash account to bKash Retail Account
  • Personal Retail Account Statement can be downloaded from bKash Merchant App and received in the email address provided for App Login, within 24 hours. You can also call 16247 to get your Account Statement
  • In case you forget your Personal Retail Account PIN, dial 16247 from the same number you registered your account with
  • In case you lose your Personal Retail Account SIM, call 16247 to block that number
  • Call 16247 to check for authentication of any received payment to your Personal Retail Account
  • Call 16247 in case you cannot access your Personal Retail Account’s self-onboarding tool
  • To get ‘Proof of Profession’ for your Personal Retail Account, contact the nearest Mayor/Ward Commissioner/Union Council office
  • In case you lose the registration ID of your Personal Retailer Account, call 16247
  • For PIN reset, number blocking, and transaction confirmation, keep your necessary documents nearby to assist the Customer Service Representative for verification of specific information in the Personal Retail Account
