bKash Transactions Are More Convenient to Janata Bank Accounts!

Transactions from Janata Bank to bKash are now easier with Internet banking! Now you can log in to the ‘eJanata’ app and Add Money instantly to your own or someone else’s bKash account.

 

Service details

  • The sender must have a Janata Bank account and access to the 'eJanata' app.
  • The recipient should have an active bKash account.
  • The person sending the money (bank account holder) has to go to Janata Bank Limited's banking app 'eJanata', and add the bKash account of the receiver as the beneficiary before the fund transfer.
  • The bank account holder who is sending money through the 'eJanata' app can Send Money to any bKash customer account using their credentials.

 

Add beneficiary proccess via the ‘eJanata’ app:

  • If a customer wants to Send Money (bank account holder), they must log into their bank account first using Janata Bank's internet banking app 'eJanata'.
  • Then tap on the transfer button > tap on MFS balance transfer > tap on beneficiary type > select bKash > enter beneficiary bank account details and name, > tap on submit button > press OK.

 

Fund transfer process via the ‘eJanata’ app:

  • Janata Bank account holder, who wants to Add Money to bKash, must first log in to their bank account through the 'eJanata' app.
  • Next, tap on Transfer > Select MFS Balance Transfer > Then select Transfer to bKash option from the bKash icon > Tap on Beneficiary > From the list of Beneficiaries, select the account to which the sender wants to send the money (earlier the bKash Account made beneficiary) > Sender must enter the amount they want to transact > Enter the required description for the transaction > Enter the PIN code > Tap on the terms and conditions check box > Tap on the submit button > Tap on the Yes/No button > Security to complete the transaction type the code (which is OTP) > then tap on submit button.
  • If the account to which the funds are transferred passes the qualification, the funds will be transferred to that account and a notification will appear with a description of the transaction saying 'Transaction Succeeded'. After that, by tapping on the 'Download' button, the PDF file with the detailed description of the transaction will be downloaded. Tap 'OK' if you don't want to download the PDF file.
  • Customers using Janata Bank's banking app, 'eJanata' will receive an in-app notification if the transaction process is not successful.

 

 

Access interfaces:

  • Janata Bank internet banking app 'eJanata' should be downloaded from Google Play Store and accessed for transactions.

 

bKash customer end notifications:

  • bKash customers will mark the transaction as 'Deposit from Janata Bank'.
  • SMS: BDT 30,000 deposited in your account from Janata Bank, fee BDT 0.00. Balance BDT 3,00,000, Transaction ID XXXXXXXXXX, Day/Month/Year, Time:Hour: Min
  • Description of transactions will appear as short statements as follows:

Transaction eligibility:

  • Funds can be brought into the bKash account only from those bank account holders who have the authority to transfer funds to any bKash account.
  • There is no additional limit from bKash for this service; Details of this service and transaction limits are given in the next section.

 

Transaction Limits

Transfer to bKash account:

  • Funds can be transferred as per the bKash 'Cash In' limit for the bKash account added as a beneficiary.

Transfer from Janata Bank mobile app ‘eJanata’:

  • Currently, the transaction limit is BDT 50,000 per day.

Service Fee:

  1. How can the sender avail the service?
  • If the customer has a personal savings account with Janata Bank, with a fund transfer facility on 'eJanata' app, then the customer can transfer funds from their bank account to any bKash account.
  1. Does the sender need to add a bKash account as a 'Beneficiary'? How to add a beneficiary?
  • Yes, the sender has to transfer funds by adding any bKash account holder as a 'Beneficiary'.

Whoever wants to Send Money (bank account holder), first needs to log in to the 'eJanata' app using their credentials.

Tap on Transfer > Then select MFS Balance Transfer > Tap on Add Beneficiary > Tap on Beneficiary Type > Select bKash > Enter beneficiary's bank account number and name > Tap on submit button > Then tap on 'OK'.

 

  1. How many bKash accounts can the sender add as a beneficiary?
  • The sender can add as many bKash accounts as 'Beneficiary' as they want.

 

  1. What information does the sender need to know about the customer of the bKash account to which they will Send Money?
  • The sender needs to know the bKash account number, which is an 11-digit mobile number. This information is required to first add the preferred bKash account as a beneficiary, then transfer the funds.

  • No, there is no charge for sending or receiving money using this service.

Currently, a customer can transact a maximum of BDT 50,000 per day.

  1. In some cases, the customer of the designated bKash account cannot receive money.
  • If the bKash account to which the money is to be sent is not active and/or not in a receiving state, the bKash account will not be eligible to receive the money.

If the bKash account to which money is to be sent reaches the maximum Cash-In/transaction limit for that day or month, the bKash account cannot receive money.

  1. What will this transaction be marked as in the bKash account statement?
  • This transaction will be marked as 'Bank to bKash'.
  1. What to do if funds are transferred to the wrong bKash account?
  • Care must be taken while adding beneficiaries to avoid mistakes. The account number should be checked by the sender repeatedly before the fund transfer. The sender is responsible for any errors related to fund transfers.
