Offer Details

  • Get up to BDT 100 Cashback by recharging on the Metro Rail website with bKash from the Suggestion section of the bKash App!
  • Customers will receive 5% Cashback up to BDT 50.
  • Customers will receive the Cashback once per day and twice during the campaign.

 

Service Details

  • A 0.83% charge applies for every recharge made with the bKash App.
  • For card activation, after paying online, the recharged amount will remain in ‘Pending’ status until it is activated at any Metro Station AVM (Add Value Machine).
  • Pending recharge amounts will remain valid for up to 3 months.
  • In case of auto-refund, if the card is not tapped at an AVM within 3 months, the recharged amount will be automatically refunded to the customer’s original payment account, with a 5% service charge deducted.
  • For manual refunds, customers can request a refund within 7 days of the recharge. A 5% fee will apply.

- No, for card activation, after making the payment online, the recharged amount will remain in “Pending” status until it is activated at an AVM machine at any metro station. Sometimes the system may temporarily show “Payment Successful, Preparing for Recharge.” This is normal. In this case, wait for about 5 minutes and refresh the page. The status will automatically update to “Payment Successful.”

 

  1. Can a customer recharge again while a pending recharge is still active?

- No, the pending recharge must be completed at the AVM machine before making a new recharge.

 

  1. What is the maximum amount a customer can recharge?

- A customer can recharge a minimum of BDT 100 and a maximum of BDT 5,000 with the bKash App.

 

  1. How can a customer complete the recharge at the AVM machine?

- To complete the recharge, first go to a Metro Station and tap your Metro Rail card on the AVM machine’s reader. Keep it tapped until the process is complete. After a short while, a confirmation SMS will appear on the screen. If the customer taps the card on the machine again, the message “There are no pending recharges in the server” will be displayed.

 

  1. How long does a refund take?

- The refund processing time depends on the Payment Gateway used by the customer. It typically takes 10 to 15 business days for the refund to be reflected in the customer’s account.
